Volt is immediately hiring for Shipping Clerk in San Marcos,
Ca.
1st shift, 7:30 am to 4:00 pm, Monday to Friday,
$22.00-25.00/hr
As a Shipping Clerk you will:
Overview:
This individual will be responsible for monitoring and maintaining
inbound and outbound shipments, performing physical inventory
counts, and using an ERP system to record, document, and track
inventory data.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Other duties may be assigned
as needed.
Monitor and maintain inbound and outbound shipments.
Perform accurate and timely physical inventory counts.
Use an ERP system to track, record, and document inventory inputs
and movements.
Operate a forklift to stage, move, load, and unload materials
safely and efficiently.
Receive and inspect all incoming materials; perform visual
inspections and document findings.
Cross-reference packing lists with physical deliveries for
accuracy.
Reconcile discrepancies between physical counts and ERP system
data.
Ensure timely and accurate material receiving.
Maintain documentation with 100% accuracy.
Proactively identify and assign tasks to ensure continuous workflow
for self and team.
Supervise team during operations; ensure adherence to company
policies and procedures.
Escalate operational or personnel issues when necessary.
Maintain general housekeeping in storage and staging areas.
Handle chemicals following proper safety procedures.
Follow all company safety rules, including the use of PPE and safe
lifting practices.
Embrace and support continuous improvement efforts.
Create or revise Work Instructions and SOPs as needed.
Train team members when required.
Food Safety Responsibilities:Complete food safety training and
apply knowledge as needed.
Maintain product quality per company standards.
Report quality issues or defects to Batching Department Supervisor
and Manager.
Ensure ingredients are clean, uncontaminated, and undamaged.
Document and report all damaged raw materials.
Keep work areas clean and organized at all times.
This is a full time opportunity The ideal candidate will have:
Education:High school diploma or GED required.
Experience:
2+ years of experience in inventory, shipping/receiving, or
warehouse operations.
OSHA compliance knowledge preferred but not required.
Forklift experience preferred but not required.
Skills:
Strong attention to detail is essential.
Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel/Google Sheets,
Word/Google Docs, and Gmail/Outlook.
Must be computer literate and comfortable communicating across
departments via email.
Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
Pay Rate: $22.00-25.00/hr
*Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on
several factors, including the candidate's education, work
experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications,
etc.
